Will the supports damage the wall?
If you're looking to install a floating shelve in your living room, but are worried about the supports damaging your wall, then I have good news! It's not going to happen. The brackets that go on the bottom of the shelf will only attach it to the wall and not damage it in any way. It will look like there is nothing on the shelf, but it's actually attached to the wall. And if you want a floating shelve in your kitchen then that'll be even easier since most of those walls have tiles covering them and are already strong enough for shelves. Just make sure to use drywall anchors instead of these small plastic brackets as the plastic brackets can snap and break.
Just keep in mind that when deciding on where you want to put your floating shelf, it's important that you measure the space. Once you decide on a spot, whether in the middle of the wall or closer to one side is up to you.
